Presidential Decree PD-5211 names polo a sport to develop
Signed on 11 March 2021, the decree covers horse breeding, equestrian sport and the popularisation of polo.
On 11 March 2021 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed Decree PD-5211 on additional measures for the further development of horse breeding and equestrian sports, and the popularisation of polo.
The decree covers the national development of horse breeding and equestrian sport, support for polo and modern pentathlon among other equestrian sports, and measures to build infrastructure and attract investment. It names polo as a strategic sport to develop.
